The shocking incident occurred on Saturday, July 06. It was the morning peak hours when many commuters are on their way to work. There where people waiting at Mumbai Central railway station to catch the next train.
When all of a sudden, an old man dressed in a white shirt and pant, got off the platform and proceeded to walk towards the railway tracks. He on the tracks in anticipation for the train.
During this same time, two Maharashtra Security Force (MSF) constables saw the man and immediately rushed to his aid. This all happened in the nick of time as the train was fast approaching the man.
The brave jawans managed to save him from the path of death and safely brought him back to the platform. If the jawans hadn’t shown the presence of mind, the aged man would have lost his life.
Taking note of the incident, Western Railway applauded the two heroes through a tweet:
Prompt and daring action by MSF staff Manoj & Ashok, deployed with RPF saved the life of a senior citizen who attempted suicide at Mumbai Central Station. His family expressed deep gratitude to them.
