Maharaja Gaj Singh, Head of Head Injury Foundation, who is the patron of the WCNR 2018, welcomed the chief guests, delegates and the audiences. He said, “In a short span of 4 days, issues like stroke, post traumatic disorders, dementia will be elaborated. There is a need for a multidisciplinary approach and low cost solutions. Also, home rehab is the need of the hour. I thank everyone for their valuable participation.”
Dr Nirmal Surya, “I welcome all the honourable guests at the Dias and all members of Presidium, foreign guests, delegates and everyone present here. In India we believe in the philosophy of ‘Athithi Devo Bhava’ (Guests are equal to god).”
He added, “This is the first time so many papers will be presented. India is a country with a lot of phone connections. Today’s Telerehabitation workshop proved that we really need it to discuss it. I strongly feel that experts present here will change the course of way neuro rehabilitation works in the world.”
Dr Leonard Li said, “I appreciate Dr Nirmal Surya for trying so hard and bringing everyone together and his words. I also thank everyone who made this happen, from behind the scenes.”
Girish Mahajan, Medical Education Minister said, I am happy to know that Indian Federation of NeuroRehabilitation is organising the World Congress of NeuroRehabilitation -WCNR 2018 along with the World Federation of NeuroRehabilitation in India. I would like to congratulate all the members of the federation for successfully organise the congress proceedings. I am grateful to the WCNR to address the alarming need of NeuroRehabilitation in our country. I hope all they students, doctors, therapists, nurses will have the opportunity to enrich their knowledge and experience by attending this Congress.
