Dr Nirmal Surya, president of WCNR, Abhishek Srivastava, joint-secretary WCNR, Raj Purohit, BJP MLA, Maharaja Gaj Singh, Dr Leonard Li and other dignitaries inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the lamp. Raj Purohit released the souvenir. On this occasion, the abstract guide was also released.
Maharaja Gaj Singh, Head of Head Injury Foundation, who is the patron of the WCNR 2018, welcomed the chief guests, delegates and the audience.
- WFNR is a multidisciplinary organisation which encourages the exchange of knowledge and scientific research between clinicians and others with an interest in the field of NeuroRehabilitation.
- WFNR collaborates with other clinical and scientific societies to enhance the impact of NeuroRehabilitation for the benefit of patients.
- Over 2,000 delegates and guest speakers from 55 countries attended the conference. This was the first time that the conference was being held in South East Asia and it is a big step for neurological rehab experts.

The four day conference highlighted vital topics like telerehabilitation, Aphasia Rehabilitation, Cannabis, neuro infections in developing world, cochrane, Multidisciplinary approach to NeuroRehabilitation, Robotic Rehabilitation, stroke rehabilitation, epilepsy, dementia, spasticity and many more.
Dr Nirmal Surya president WCNR 2018 and founder of Epilepsy centre said, “We have got a tremendous response from people across India and the globe. Everybody seems to be very satisfied with the scientific gastronomy and the interactive field. Everybody has told me that the standard of the conference is so high that a new benchmark has been setup. This was wonderful journey for India. I feel that this is going to change the way we are practicing. A lot of young therapists have benefitted and not only that, two Indians have won the best poster award. Our work is parallel to the work done across the world. I am extremely satisfied. Students got the best opportunity to interact with the experts in the world.”
