The first phase of the #Election2019 has concluded on Thursday, April 11. During the next few days, the election fever will reach its peak, but, what about the real health issues?
A campaign #DoctorWhoCares has been launched on social media aiming to make voters aware of health issues. To spread awareness about healthcare factors, My Medical Mantra, with #VoteForHealth campaign, will bring you the perspective of the eminent doctors. What they think the government must do to tackle various health issues.
While talking with My Medical Mantra, Dr Pradeep Bhosale, a Knee-replacement surgeon, Nanavati Hospital, Mumbai, said, “Price and quality of medical equipment are important. Many types of medical equipment are present in the market, on which the government has no control, as far as price is concerned. Poor and needy patients can’t afford it. After fixing the price of knee replacement common people have been benefitted. There must be transparency in the prices and quality of medical equipment. It will help in minimizing health-related problems.”
Secondly, people believe that the facilities that one get at private hospitals will not be available at public hospitals. This misconception should be removed,” said Dr Bhosale.
