UP to seek Maha’s help to improve health services in state

To know about various initiatives undertaken by Maharashtra in the health care sector, and its efforts to curb mother and child death, a delegation under Siddharth Nath Singh, Uttar Pradesh health minister, met Dr Deepak Sawant, the state health minister, at Mantralaya. UP to seek Maha’s help to improve health services in state

With regards to health service, Maharashtra is leading state in the country. So the Union Health Minister suggested studying its various schemes and success stories.“I had come to Maharashtra to understand about its healthcare services, so that UP can also implement  various schemes like telemedicine, bike ambulance, SNCU, CPS courses in Uttar Pradesh with Maharashtra’s help,” said the Siddharth Nath Singh, UP health minister.

Dr Vyas, a principal secretary of state health department, gave a presentation about the various schemes implemented by the Maharashtra government. To help UP delegation understand about the state’s health care services.

Dr Sawant informed about the college of physician course. Siddharth Nath Singh said that, attempts will be made to study the Maharashtra’s model and implement in UP.

Uttar Pradesh’s Health Minister also informed that they will take Maharashtra’s help to strengthen the UP’s health system.“Bike ambulance will be important for providing healthcare services, through small lanes of Kanpur, Varanasi, Agra and Meerut. Maharashtra took measures to prevent mother and child death. Similarly, efforts will be made to implement the same measures in UP,” said Siddharth Nath Singh.

In order to guide and improve the healthcare institutions of UP, Siddharth Nath Singh has invited the Health Minister of Maharashtra and team.
