With an aim to emerge as globally renowned International Hub in health education, the Maharashtra government is set to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU’s) with 32 leading universities around the globe.
The International Education Hub will be established by the Maharashtra University of Health Science, and will exclusively cater to the health science education and research.

With an aim to achieve high-quality teaching, training and research in health science, the Maharashtra state government plans to set up an International Education Hub.
The government aims to establish Educational, Research, and Training Centers of Excellence to provide professional distinction in health science, through national and international collaborations, for the benefit of humanity.
While speaking to My Medical Mantra, Girish Mahajan, Medical Education Minister, Maharashtra, said, “Our mission is to emerge as a renowned international hub for creating and disseminating knowledge and to provide national, international students and faculties, a unique, holistic learning experience. It will involve various disciplines in the field of health science for excellence in innovation, education, and research. With this, we can best serve the man kind. Distinguished through collaboration, leadership, and respect.”
Majahan further added, “We want to give Indian doctors and researchers an international exposure and scope to showcase their work globally. It will involve student and faculty exchange programme. Also, International Research Fellowship will be given to the candidates.”
The vision of the International Education Hub
To establish educational, research, and training centers of excellence to provide professional distinction in health science, through national and international collaborations, for the benefit of humanity.
To enable all the stakeholders to achieve distinctive high-quality teaching, training and research experience and to develop expertise in the relevant fields of health sciences and to enable them to function independently at various institutes at local, regional, national, and international level..
Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) will encourage direct contact and cooperation between faculty members, staff, and students of the MUHS, affiliated colleges and recognised institutions of the MUHS with the other International and National Universities /Institutes.
- To exchange of invitations for lectures, seminars, workshops, conferences, symposia, and other academic programmes.
- Exchange of faculty members and students for study and teaching and research.
- Joint research activities, publications, library, and data exchange.
- To establish International Alumni Association of students and faculties who will participate in various activities of International Education Hub of MUHS, Nashik, India.
The Maharashtra government will sign the MOU’s on Tuesday, August 7. Governor of Maharashtra, C Vidyasagar Rao, CM Devendra Fadnavis, Medical Education Minister and other dignitaries will remain present for the function.
