Maharashtra ranks first in terms of blood donations

Thanks to the increase in the awareness among the youngsters, Maharashtra has stood as the state with highest blood donation in 2016. The state conducted as many as 26,313 blood donation camps in 2016 and collected a total of 16.17 lakh units of blood.
