Anita Devi and Alakhram Yadav  delivered their first child at home last week. The baby, who has not yet been named, was born with lamellar ichthyosis. The condition makes skin tight, waxy and causes it to shed regularly. The doctor said it was ‘extremely rare’ but the baby has a good chance of survival.
