NPPA caps the ceiling prices of coronary stents

Today, a key decision over the pricing was taken, as the National Pharma Pricing Authority (NPPA) held a meeting with medical device manufacturers and other stakeholders. Now, the bare metal stents will cost 1 for Rs 7,660 and Drug Eluting Stents including Metallic DES and Bioresorbable Vascular Scaffold (BVS)/ Biodegradable stents 1 for Rs 27,890. The revised prices will be applicable from tomorrow
