Lini Puthussery, a 31-year-old nurse died while saving a life of a patient who was suffering from the Nipah Virus. Lini died on Sunday, and could not meet her family as she was infected by Nipah. The state government has taken proactive measures to tackle with the threat of Nipah virus which has claimed the lives of 10 people in Kerala. Isolation wards have been set-up in civil hospital and doctors, nurses have been advised to wear protective gear. Samples will be sent for testing to the National Institute of Virology, if a patient shows symptoms of Nipah virus
