Chemicals found in fast food wrappers and clothes linked to weight gain

A study led by Harvard’s School of Public Health looked at the affect of chemicals called perfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) on weight regulation. PFASs are found in products like non-stick cookware and stain resistant carpet. High blood levels of PFASs were found to be associated with slower metabolism. PFASs compounds were also linked to cancer, high cholesterol and immune problems
