Mumbai: TB patients to get free nutritious food ration

Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease that usually affects the lungs and weakens the immune system. The few months after the TB detection are vital. The patients can face serious health hazards if they do not get nutritious food and the medicines. Owing to which, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided to provide free ration for two months to the newly detected drug-resistant TB patients which are registered in the Directly Observed Treatment, Short Course (DOTS) Centres
