Sheet falls off Bandra skywalk, 3 injured

Its impact can already be seen in Mumbai as the strong gusts of wind caused a few acrylic sheets from the Bandra skywalk.

According to information received from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s disaster management cell, this incident was reported by the Traffic Police in Bandra.

The incident took place around 1:24 p.m. today afternoon. Few acrylic sheets flew off the portion of Bandra skywalk opposite Saraswat Bank. This resulted in a few injuries for pedestrians walking below.

The police and ward staff of the area were mobilised and they reached the spot.

Three people have been injured. They were rushed to Holy Family Hospital, Bandra. The names of the injured victims are Malisa Najarat (30), Sulakshana Vaze (41), and Tejal Kadam (27). All the patients are stable and are under treatment.
