In order to provide the state-of-art medical aid to people staying in rural areas, Maharashtra government organised free medical health check-up camps across the state.
One, of such camp was organised in Ralegan siddhi, a native village of famous social worker Anna Hazare. The medical camp was conducted in the memory of late Laxmibai Hazare, mother of Anna Hazare. People from adjoining villages and Ralegan siddhi gave overwhelming response to the free health check-up camp.
Specialist doctors from various fields of medicine had participated in the camp, where Blood tests were done for free.
Noted social worker Anna Hazare appreciated Maharashtra government’s efforts for organising the free Heath clench-up camps. While addressing the crowd Anna Hazare said, “This is the first ever free health check-up medical camp which has been organised at a rural level. If government organises such camps across the state, then we will ensure that Maharashtra becomes disease free state soon. People will benefit out of these camps. I would request the state government to conduct more and more such camps for the rural people.”
Anna further added, “People staying in rural areas are poor and cannot afford to spend huge amount on medical care. Industrialist should come forward and help these poor people from the CSR fund. This will surely benifit the poor and needy patients.”
Maharashtra’s medial education Minister Girish Mahajan too attended the medical camp. While speaking to My Medical Mantra, Mahajan said, “State is planning to organise medial camps like this on rural level. So, that poor people can get health benefits. We want medial services to reach the poor people.”
While speaking to My Medical Mantra Coordinator of this free health check-up camp. Rameshwar Naik said, “Patients who require further medial aid will be given to them. Also operstions will be performed free of cost on those who need it.”
