Revealed: Evelyn Sharma’s fitness and beauty mantras

The super-hot and fit Evelyn Sharma, who shot to fame after ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’, was recently seen in the movies like ‘Hindi Medium’ and ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’. Evelyn who believes in eating right and healthy for a fit body, shares her keep-fit formulas

MMM: How is your fitness regimen like?

Evelyn: My work schedule is unpredictable. I keep on travelling for some or the other assignments and so working out on daily basis becomes extremely challenging. At times, I literally have to juggle between my work hours to take out time for exercising. But I try and work out for an hour every day. I have an amazing Pilates trainer who helps stay fit. Apart from that, I like to take a dip into the pool and relax for some time. Shaking a leg on my favourite Bollywood numbers, is one of my favourite form of exercise when I have some time off.

When I exercise, I focus on my body as a whole which is the ideal way to have a perfect body. But, I also believe that the areas which one should concentrate more on are arms and legs. I have experienced that the leg raises and arm circles routine are one of the most effective exercises. It really helps a lot to tone my body.

MMM: Tell us about your diet?

Evelyn: I am a foodie! German delicacies are my weakness; my favourite — pancakes soup by my mom. My day begins with a big bowl of granola, muesli and fruits along with fresh brewed coffee, almond milk and raw sugar. As I keep travelling for work, my lunch is not fixed and so I have to manage with what I can eat on my way. As far as my dinner is concerned, it’s always light. I usually prefer to go with some fresh salads or fruits. I opt for organic food. But, I regularly try and monitor my diet.

MMM: How is your skin and hair care routine like?

Evelyn: My morning routine starts with a good oil free moisturiser with a high SPF and a soft BB cream. To keep my skin hydrated, I drink enough water throughout the day and at night; I use a fancy face mist before going to sleep which helps to reduce the dryness, keeping my skin moist and soft. I also exfoliate my skin from time to time. Like every other girl ever, even I encounter sudden breakouts. So, I keep drinking a lot of water.

Talking about my hair, I have frizzy hair. I take care of my hair by using olive oil or sesame oil mixed with aloe vera gel. Then, I leave it for 30 minutes and rinse it off. The aloe vera makes it easy to wash out the oil and gives me natural smooth and silky hair. The only way to have long and healthy hair is to oil them on regular intervals. This tip was given to me by my mom and I follow it religiously.

A bad hair day is nothing less than a nightmare for every girl. But luckily, I have a saviour and I call it the ‘Sailor Moon look’, where I just twirl my hair into two buns, left and right and I am ready to go.
