A session on retinal corrections and the new technology introduced by doctors across the world was widely discussed by different speakers at the FOCUS 2017 conference hosted by Bombay Ophthalmologist’s Association (BOA) held at the Grand Hyatt regency hotel in Mumbai.
The session was chaired by Professor Francesco Bandello, Chairman Department of Ophthalmology, University VITA Salute, Milan, Italy. He said, “Any kind of retinal correction needs expertise and these can be gained only by conferences such as this, which are not very common among Ophthalmologist’s.”
Furthermore, Prof Bandello emphasised about the new technique used for treating myopic choroidal new vessels, “This new technique is the addition to the host of treatments available for retinal corrections.”
Moreover he added, “Every patient needs a different kind of diagnosis and the treatment must be tailored according to his or her needs, and hence, it is imperative for a retinal surgeon to keep the individuals needs in mind.”
