Raigad: Bus plunges into Ambenali ghat, 33 dead

A rescue operation is in progress for a mini-bus which fell into Ambenali Ghat. There were 40 people on the bus who comprised of students and professors from Dopoli-Konkan Agriculture College.

Raigad: Bus plunges into 200 feet gorge with 40 people on-board

  • A rescue operation is underway for a mini-bus which fell down a deep gorge in Raigad.
  • There were 34 people on the bus who comprised of students and professors from Dopoli-Konkan Agriculture College. Out of which 33 people have died.
  • The bus fell into a gorge at Ambenali Ghat.
  • A National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team has rushed to the spot of the accident.
  • 15 ambulances are present at the site of the mishap.

Speaking to My Medical Mantra, Raigad Collector Vijay Suryavanshi, confirmed, “34 people were on board out of which 33 people have died. One person has managed to survive, he was hanging on top of a tree branch, he informed the police and district administration. the rescue team is  still on the spot.”
