Dr Ajay Chandanwale, dean of Sassoon General Hospital in Pune, has been transfer to JJ Group of Hospital in Mumbai. After the yesterday’s transfer order by the state medical education department deans of four medical colleges have been transferred.
Chandanwale, has headed orthopedics department at JJ Hospital for seven years in the past. As a dean of B J Medical College, he had gathered around Rs 85 crore of CSR fund to upgrade hospital. He was dean of BJ Medical College for the last four years. Free food distribution to poor patients and the recently got permission to carry out organ transplant, are some of the acclaimed achievements under his authority.
Along with Chandanwale, Dr Sudhir Nandkar, who headed JJ Group of Hospitals, has been transferred to Chatrapati Shahu Maharaj Government Medical College, Kolhapur.
