Pune: Accident victim’s wife receives 5 lakh from health department

This exclusive scheme of Pune Municipal Corporation’s Heath Department, gives five lakh rupees aid to those who have died in accident and who were paying residential property tax.

Dr Sanjeev Wavare, Assistant Medical Officer of Health, (AMOH), Pune, said, “This scheme is launched in this financial year. We are happy that we have got the first beneficiary. We are creating people aware about this scheme so that maximum people can get benefited.”

Officials say that this scheme is designed in such a way that it will serve both the purpose: it will ensure that people pay property tax and accident victim’s family is benefited. PMC officials conduct home visit before transferring funds to the family.

“My husband was a driver. I have two sons. I have responsibility to educate them. I am a homemaker. My husband was bread earner of my family. Now, this help of health department will help me a lot. This help has come at such a crucial time that i cannot explain its importance to me and my family in words,” said Jadhvar.
