Rohaan and his family came to India after external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj granted a special medical visa on priority for the child. Rohaan was suffering from a critical heart disease. This was done after Rohaan’s father Kanwal Sadiq had tweeted Swaraj on the issue

Pak boy Rohaan cured of heart ailment, soon to return home

On Tuesday morning, Rohaan Sadiq, a four month old who was bought to India for treatment due to a medical emergency was discharged from Jaypee Hospital, Noida. Rohaan Sadiq was suffering from a critical heart disease but has been cured now. My Medical Mantra had earlier reported about the state of the Rohaan’s health on June 2.

“Rohaan was suffering from a critical heart disease and in such cases it is advisable to get the treatment done at the earliest in order to achieve 100% success rate and to enable the patient lead a normal life. The prayers from people across the borders for child’s good health have paved a way for his successful surgery,” said Dr Rajesh Sharma, Paediatric Cardiac Surgery Department, Jaypee Hospital.

Rohaan’s father, Kanwal was more than over-whelmed for his son, “We are very happy. We do not have such high-level speciality hospitals in Pakistan and thus we had to come to India for Rohaan’s treatment. I am very grateful to the doctors who operated Rohaan.”
