Obesity: Maha health ministry appoints Dr Jagannath Dixit as ambassador

Dr Jagannath Dixit has been appointed as a brand ambassador of the anti-obesity campaign by the state government

  • On Monday, November 19, Dr Dixit was felicitated by Medical Education Minister in Mumbai.

While speaking to My Medical Mantra, Dr Jagannath Dixit, said, “The cases of obesity and diabetes are rapidly increasing by the day. In 2012, we had started a Whatsapp campaign to address this issue. We helped provide guidance to people affected with this lifestyle disease. The state government to note of our work, and has now given us the responsibility of the Anti-Obesity Campaign in Maharashtra. And, I have been appointed as the ambassador for it. This will help is reach out to people on a much bigger platform, I am thankful to the government for appointing me as the ambassador.”
