Speaking to My Medical Mantra, Shrikant Apte of Rajhans Pratishthan said, “I decied to take up this cause due to the deaths because of organ failure and the pain that people suffer. Since four years, I am working for the same.  After which, I came to know that, people do not donate organs due to the superstitions. So, to create awareness amongst the youth, with the help of NSS students from KC College, the awareness is being created at the railway stations.”

He added, “Each year, hundreds of people die while waiting for an organ transplant. When people donate organs after their death, then many lives can be saved. With the help of  NSS students of KC College, we created organ donation awareness at the Churchgate railway station. We wanted to give posters and messages at every railway station. We have got the permission for the same for four railway stations. Slowly, we will acquire permission for all the railway stations.”
