The RDA AIIMS requests doctors to send in comments and suggestions regarding the NMC Bill after the Rajya Sabha secretariat have published a notification on the same. The deadline for submission is till February 01

NMC Bill: Resident doctors from AIIMS invite suggestions of healthcare professionals

  • The Resident Doctors Association of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) have written a letter addressing healthcare professionals to stand against the National Medical Commission (NMC) Bill 2017.
  • Dr Harjit Singh Bhatti, President of AIIMS Resident Doctors Association (AIIMS RDA) stated, after a series of effort by AIIMS, the Rajya Sabha secretariat has finally published the notification regarding the NMC Bill 2017 and invited comments and suggestions till February 01, 2018
  • Resident doctors from AIIMS request all doctors and healthcare professional to send e-mails to rs-chfw@sansad.nic.in, it also request them to mail the copy of the letter and recommendation to aiimsrdapresident@gmail.com
  • Resident doctors at AIIMS request all doctors to click a picture with a placard, that reads, “I am against anti-people, anti-poor NMC Bill,” along with the background name of the medical college or hospital.

The letter written by AIIMS Residents Doctors Association (RDA AIIMS) states that, ‘It is a serious matter of concern that the medical education system is undergoing through its worst form of reform, where an attempt by the government to merge evidence based medicine with alternative medicine is under discussion.’

It further added that it not only hurts the sentiments of medical graduates, it clearly violates the norms of science. All over the world evidence based medicine has gained repute because of the hard work of millions of doctor. This will go to waste if the government starts a bridge course.
