Newly elected Mumbai Mayor Vishwanath Mahadeshwar has extended his support to My Medical Mantra’sSave Aaradhya campaign.

Mahadeshwar requested Mumbaikars to promote organ donation, so that many like Aaradhya can get a new lease of life.

“We all need to promote organ donation. For patients like Aaradhya, organ transplant is the only solution to live life. I request everyone to participate in this noble cause and donate organs,” said Mahadeshwar.

While Aaradhya Mule (4) has been waiting for a donor heart for last six months, another child, Shlok Andhale (1.5) has also registered for a heart transplant at Fortis Hospital, Mulund, last week.

Both, Aaradhya and Shlok, have dilated cardiomyopathy – an end-stage heart disease. Only 10% of Aaradhya’s heart is functional and Shlok’s only15%.

Aaradhya celebrated her fourth birthday on March 5. Presently, Aaradhya gets hospitalised for 48 hours after every 14 days so that she can be given medication intravenously for her to survive on 10% of functional heart. On Monday, she will be admitted again at Fortis Hospital.

My Medical Mantra has been following Aaradhya’s progress closely and has also appealed to its readers to spread a word that she desperately needs a heart donor through #SaveAaradhya campaign.
