Speaking to My Medical Mantra, Dr Pradeep Gadge said, “Patients generally do not know the reason why and how they develop diabetes. My aim is to train people to become good diabetes educators. In this course, people will be informed about diabetes and the several aspects surrounding it. Such as what causes diabetes, what are its symptoms, what should be done, diet for diabetes, when and how to take medicines, and how to use a glucometer.”

He added, “Practical knowledge will also be provided to the participants. They will be taken to dialysis centres and pharmaceutical manufactures for field visits.”

Around 65 million people in India are diabetic, which makes India a diabetes capital of the world. Diabetes is spreading as an epidemic, and it’s a huge burden as well.
