Mumbai: Andheri bridge collapse lands two in ICU, leave seven others injured

The injured have suffered head injuries. The nine injured people are shifted to the civic-run Cooper hospital in Andheri. Of which, two are said to be critical


  • According to the Mumbai’s civic-run Cooper hospital authorities, nine people have been admitted to the hospital 
  • Dr Ganesh Shinde, Dean of Cooper hospital confirmed, out of the nine injured, two have been admitted in the ICU and their condition is critical 
  • Other passengers have suffered minor injuries and fractures, and are said to be out of danger 
While speaking to My Medical Mantra, Dr Ganesh Shinde, Dean of civic-run Cooper hospital, said, “So far, nine people are injured and are admitted to Cooper hospital. Of the nine, two passengers – a man and a woman, are said to be critical and are shifted to the ICU. Rest have suffered minor fractures and head injuries and are out of danger.”

Girdhari Singh
Manoj Mehta
Harish Kahali
and one unidentified woman
Dr Shinde added, “We have curtailed a few routine treatments at the hospitals as we have to give priority to the injured patients. All the emergency services have been pressed into action. As the patients have suffered head injuries, we are monitoring their vital parameters as well.”
