- In an unfortunate incident, one Govinda has died in Mumbai, and 60 Govindas got injured during the Dahi Handi celebrations.
- As per the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), of the 60 Govindas, as many as 40 Govindas are admitted to different hospitals in the city and are undergoing treatment.
- Doctors informed those Govindas, who suffered minor injuries were discharged and rest are in stable condition
While speaking to My Medical Mantra, Dr Jayashree Mondkar, Dean of Mumbai’s civic-run Sion hospital said, “A 20-year-old Govinda, Kush Khandare, has been declared brought dead in Sion hospital. As per the primary information he hails from Dharavi.”
As per Mumbai Police, Kush died due to an epileptic fit not due to the injury.
While speaking to My Medical Mantra, Dr Mukund Tayde, Dean of Sir JJ Hospitals in Mumbai, said, “Till now, three Govindas are admitted to our hospital. Ved Kolabkar, nine-year-old, has suffered head injuries. While 37-year-old Ravindra Kamble, too, has suffered injuries on his head. Sachin Gaikwad, another Govinda, has suffered a foot injury.”
