Manohar Parrikar, who was rushed to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital with complaints of stomach-ache two weeks back, was back in Mumbai for further treatment on March 5.
While Lilvati Hospital officials refused to comment, the official CMO Goa twitter handle has been updating people on Parrikar’s health status. On March 5, it tweeted saying Parrikar will be travelling to Mumbai for further medical check-up. It also hinted that the former Union Defence Minister may travel overseas for further treatment based on doctor’s advice.
Before leaving for Mumbai, the Goa CM also held a meeting with Chief Secretary, Dharmendra Sharma and Principal Secretary to CM P. Krishnamurthy and instructed on urgent and other important matters.
On Feb 15, Parrikar was rushed to Lilavati Hospital and was diagnosed for ‘mild pancreatitis’. He was later discharged on February 22 and attended the state’s budget session. Parrikar was again hospitalised at the Goa Medical College and Hospital on February 25 for mild dehydration. He was discharged on March 1.
