Maharashtra’s first Internet de-addiction centre to be set-up in Pune

Anandvan de-addiction and Rehabilitation Centre working in the field of addiction liberation will be starting Maharashtra’s first internet de-addiction centre in Pune


Dr Ajay Dudhane, chairman of Anandvan de-addiction and rehabilitation Centre, said, “We have got three cases since last six months related to internet addiction. It is need of the hour that we have such de-addiction centre for the city.”

For this reason, an inauguration function for Maharashtra’s first and the India’s third Internet Addiction Liberation Centre has been organised.

The inauguration ceremony is scheduled on Sunday, November 18 at 5 p.m. in the evening at Abhinav Square, Tilak Road’s Vishal Sahyadri Sadan. This psycho-development psychology centre will be inaugurated at the hands of Guardian Minister Girish Bapat.

At the inauguration ceremony of the Center, Mayor Mukta Tilak, Pune Rural’s Police Superintendent Sandip Patil, Maharashtra State Financial Corporation Pune Division’s Additional Commissioner Varsha Laddha, former President Shripal Sabnis, BVG group’s Dr. Dattatraya Gayakwad, RSS’ Pune City caretaker Mahesh Karpe will be present.

Internet addiction de-addiction Centers have been started in Delhi and Bangalore. That is why the Internet de-addiction Center to be started by the Anandvan addiction liberation Centre will be the third in the country and state’s first. Side-effects of mobile and internet use will be cured here. The increased usage of internet has led to the set up of this Center.

Experts will be working on issues like e-addiction, brain feedback, meditation, consulting, issues of teenagers, fear-anxiety, instability. Apart from this, awareness campaigns will be conducted in various schools and colleges on this topic of internet de-addiction.
