Maha: CRPF bravehearts pledge to donate their organs

While the jawans of the Central Reserve Police Force (CPRF) risk their lives every day to protect us from terrorist and naxal attacks, they also have a tender side to them. CRPF displayed their humanitarian sides by pledging their organs


  • 889 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel including officers and jawans have pledged to donate their organs.
  • On Thursday, 09 August, 445 CRPF personnel have received the Organ Donor card from National Organ and Tissue and Transplant Authority (NOTTO).


They are the valiant soldiers of India, who fight with the naxals day in, day out, in the dense forests of Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha to protect us. The bravehearts of our motherland, take on the terrorist and Naxalite to protect the internal security of the country. And now, they have pledged to save the common man by donating their organs.


While speaking to My Medical Mantra, Inspector General CRPF West region, Rajkumar said, “890 CRPF personnel including officers and jawans had pledged to donate their organs. Out of which 445 have got the donor cards from NOTTO. On Thursday, we distributed the donor cards to jawans and officers.”


IG Rajkumar further said, “CRPF protects the internal security of the country. And we are committed to protecting our motherland at any cost. Organ Donation is a humanitarian cause which we have taken up. CRPF officers and jawans are ready to pledge their body after their death.”


5 CRPF battalions are posted in Maoist affected areas of Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. The officers and jawans belonging to battalion 9th, 37th, 191st, 192 and 113 have taken a pledge to donate their organs. IG Rajkumar himself has taken a pledge to donate his organs.

IG Rajkumar while speaking to My Medical Mantra said, “My humble appeal to the citizens is, please come forward and pledge the organs. It is a humanitarian cause, and by donating organs we can give a life to someone who needs it. There are lakhs of people who are losing their lives due to non-availability of organs. We can save their life, if we donate our organs.”
