This time, Lalbaugcha Raja Ganeshostv mandal has organised a blood donation camp on August 6. Blood donation is regarded as the best donation. So keeping that in mind, the blood donation camp will continuously go on for 18 hours.
In this camp, along with Mumbai, 100-50 blood banks for all over Maharashtra will be participating. Also, 700 beds will be provided on the day of the blood donation camp. The members of Lalbaugcha Raja Ganeshotsav mandal hope to receive a good response from people.
Sudhir Salvi, Honorary Secretary of the Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal informed, “Right now, diseases like swine flu, dengue etc, are rapidly spreading in Maharashtra. As a result, there may be a shortage of blood in the hospital and other blood banks. Owing to this, we have organized a blood donation camp this year.”
The mandal has appealed to the college students to donate blood. “We went to colleges to create public awareness about blood donation. We informed the college students about the importance of blood donations and appealed them to donate blood. So, we hope that students will respond in a positive way,” added Salvi.
Balasaheb Kambale, president Lalbaugcha Raja Ganeshotsav Mandal said, “We will try to collect maximum blood through this camp. We especially urge the youth to come forward and participate in this blood donation campaign. ”
