Life insurance is the need of the hour. Public health policy, in all is a matter of discussion for each and everyone of us at a certain point in time. The operating environment of healthcare providers is very important for the health care developments in the country.
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Western region is hosting a huge conclave to discuss various matters of public health policy such as Public Private Partnership, Digital Healthcare, Health Insurance, Primary healthcare as well as imperatives for hospitals in changing operating context on August 23rd in Hotel Grand Hyatt, Mumbai.
One of the most awaited sessions at the conclave is about insurance which brings in different stakeholders of framing health policy such as insurance companies, healthcare providers, consumer representatives to deliberate the improvement as well as addressing the last mile issues.
The last mile challenges include coverage offered, distribution reach, procedural issues related to insurance payments and maintenances.
Speaking about the session to My Medical Mantra, Rana Mehta, partner of PWC said, “While India has a lot of innovations in products, a lot needs to be done on the financial front. Given that, healthcare innovations such as insurance must be made hugely available and affordable.”
