For most of us plastic surgery still remains an unaffordable procedure. A free mega camp will be organised on December 16 and December 17 Pune for the same.
The camp would be held at Matoshree Madanbai Dhariwal Hospital, Shirur. Five different doctors, who are expert in their respective field of surgeries, would conduct about 100 different surgeries in two days at this hospital.
A plastic surgery can be a life changing experience for many people, stated Dr Pankaj Jindal, who is a specialist for micro hand surgery.
He was speaking during a press interaction on Friday about the ‘Free Mega Annual Surgery Camp for Plastic, Cosmetic and Hand Surgery’ organised by Agarwal Club Pune Charitable Trust, jointly with RM Dhariwal Foundation, Pune.
The surgeries performed at the camp will be to address birth deformities in children like joint fingers, absent fingers, missing fingers, too many fingers, abnormal fingers, hand, leg, spastic paralysis, burn contractures, deformities of the body due to accidents, disfiguring of face like ear, nose, chin, lip or neck, heavy marks, scars, moles on body etc. and many more similar issues.
Patients are advised to report to Matoshree Madanbai Dhariwal Hospital in Shirur for a pre-surgery screening and necessary medical tests, with fasting at 8 am. Patients are advised to come with one attendant for the surgery. The surgery would be free of cost. There will be a token registration fee of Rs 50 which would be required to be deposited at the hospital.
