Goa: Back to India, CM Parrikar resumes office

Goa CM Mahonar Parrikar was undergoing treatment in the US, for pancreatic ailment. He was out of Goa for almost three months. After returning to home on Thursday evening, CM immediately took charge of the office on Friday

  • After undergoing treatment in the United States for over three months, Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has returned to Goa on Thursday
  • On June 15, Parrikar resumed his office in the morning and had a meeting with the state department officers 
  • The Goa CM has released a video message for the people of Goa, after resuming his office on Friday
In a video addressed to the people of Goa, CM Manohar Parrikar says, “While I was away for treatment, you have prayed for me, blessed me, and supported me. Because of your love and blessings, I am back to the office again. I have resumed my duties. And I assure you that I will work for the development of Goa, and will be with the people of Goa.”
In February, CM Manohar Parrikar was diagnosed with pancreatic ailment. He was then admitted in Mumbai’s Lilavati hospital, and after the doctor’s advice, he had to be flown to the United States for further treatment.
