The former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee has been admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on June 11. After examination, doctors diagnosed him with urinary tract infection and chest congestion and low urine output.
In a press release, issued by AIIMS on Wednesday, doctors informed about his condition. Doctors say, they started treating him and put him on injectable antibiotics immediately after diagnosis. He was also given slow dialysis to support his renal function.
According to doctors, he has shown significant improvement with treatment. His kidney function has improved with good urine output. His blood pressure and breathing are normal.
The press release also says Vajpayee should recover within next few days.
