- Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley undergoes a kidney transplant at All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi, on Monday.
- According to AIIMS administration, the kidney transplant was successful
- Doctors say, both the recipient and the donor are recovering well
The press release issued by Prof Dr Aarti Vij, chairperson media-protocol division, which stated “Arun Jaitley, the Honourable Minister of Finance and Corporate affairs, underwent a renal transplant surgery today at AIIMs, Delhi. The surgery was successful. And, both the recipient and the donor are stable.”
Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had diagnosed with kidney ailment a few months ago. Union Finance Minister has chosen a public hospital for the renal transplant surgery. Earlier External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj had also undergone a kidney transplant at AIIMS.
