We often have just one solution to a certain eye problem; this may get very difficult for a doctor, as each and every case is unique and may not necessarily be similar. Each case has its own set of problems given that there is so much more than what meets the eye in every case.
It is for this very reason that we need to discuss the variation of each case in different platforms like the Bombay Ophthalmologist’s Association (BOA).
Keeping this in mind, the BOA conducted a special panel discussion titled, ‘What will you do?’ It was chaired by Dr T P Lahane, Chief Advisor, BOA’s FOCUS 2017 and Dean of Sir JJ Group of Hospitals.
“Through this session, we will discuss different cases open the discussion for delegates to respond or to ask questions,” said Dr Lahane.
The discussion saw about six cases ranging from limbitus to hard cataract, among multiple others.
“It is wonderful the way Dr Ragini Parekh put forth the case and the solution. That’s is why, such discussions are important,” said Prof Amar Agarwal, Chairman and Managing director of Dr Agarwal’s Group of Eye Hospitals, Chennai.
The event saw a lot of delegates discussing and interacting with panellists. Among the panellists were renowned ophthalmologists like Dr T P Lahane, Dr Ragini Parekh, Dr Manish Shah, Dr Jagat Ram, Dr Mahipal Sachdev, Dr Amar Agarwal, Dr Quresh Maskati, Dr D Ramamurthy and Dr Keiki Mehta.
