Dr Kalidas Chavan has been elected as the registrar of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS). This decision was taken in this meeting, held under the chairmanship of Dilip Mhasekar

For the position of University’s registrar, in June 2017, there was an advertisement  given that the candidates who are interested can apply for the same. According to this advertisement, the eligible candidates were interviewed by the selection committee. A selection committee was formed to select the right candidate. The committee submitted the report to the managing committee. After which, Dr Kalidas Chavan was elcetd as the registrar of the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences.

At a meeting of the university’s management council, Kantilal Sancheti, Dr. Nitin Gangane, Dr. Y.R.Patil, Dr. Arun Bhasme, Dr. Sachin Mumbre, Dr. Milind Deshpande, Dr. Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Manisha Kukkar and Pandit Gawali and other dignitaries were present. After KKalidas Chavan’s appointment,Vice Chancellor. Mohan Khamgaonkar and the University officials and staff gave him best wishes.

Dr Kalidas Chavan had joined as a professor in the local medical college at Loni, Ahmednagar. In September 2014, he became in charge of the University’s examination control post. At present, he is in charge of the university’s post of Registrar. He had also played an important role Latur, Aurangabad, Ambejogai and Gulbarga medical colleges.

Dr Chavan got his MBBS degree in the year 1993, from SRTR Medical College, Ambejogai. He secured his post-graduation degree in forensic medicines from Aurangabad government medical college. He is currently holding the post of president of Medicollegal Association of Maharashtra and Indian Academy of Forensic Medicine. Dr Chavan’s research work has been published in many national and international seminars.
