Many times, the family members are not aware of the government-run health schemes. So, in order to help these people, we have started this helpline. Till now, we have helped 17 people with free surgeries and has provided financial aid to a number of cancer patients.”

What information will a patient will get here?

Dr Borkar further added, “If anyone wants to contact, can dial the number 020-26125144. We will take the information from the patient about his disease, in which hospital he is undergoing treatment, and the investigation reports. Then we take a decision to help in terms of the financial aid. We have created a group of specialist doctors in every district, and we send the patients to them.”
