There is an urgent need to discuss various facets of health in our country, given that a lot of things are upgrading in terms of healthcare.
Keeping this in mind, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Western Region shall be hosting a panel discussion on the ‘imperatives for hospitals in changing operating context’ on August 23 at Hotel Grand Hyatt, Mumbai. This will be a panel discussion to discuss newest trends of consumerism and how hospitals or healthcare centres should cope with it.
“Globally three trends are defining the way healthcare is delivered today- the need to be more affordable, rising consumerism in the way that every consumer has a voice through social media today and technology that enables quick and better treatment. Hence, there needs to be an active discussion on these topics,” said Sumit Goel, partner and healthcare (strategy and operations), KPMG India. Goel will be the moderator for the session on August 23.
Public health policy, in all is a matter of discussion for each and everyone of us at a certain point in time. The operating environment of healthcare providers is very important for the health care developments in the country. And the CII conference will be hosting five different sessions like health insurance, digital healthcare etc., to keep the consumers abreast of every happening in the sector.
