Building public toilets is a major concern in a city like Mumbai and across the state. Several times obstacles like space constrain and a list of permissions to be secured hinders their construction.
Now, Aaditya Thackeray has come up with an unique idea to increase the availability of public toilets. He has requested the BEST administration to check the viability of converting buses into a mobile toilet
The Thackeray scion has conveyed his thoughts on the twitter.
Also have requested to try and convert a few old buses into mobile toilets for places like the Highways where permission isn’t easily granted for building toilets.

Due to the non-availability of the public toilets, women a face lots of issues while commuting. To address this issue ‘Right to Pee’ activists had raised this issue with the government, in the past.
While speaking to My Medical Mantra, Right-2-Pee campaign program coordinator of Supriya Jan said, “This should not only be limited to a slogan. This need to be implemented properly, if the administration decides to do go ahead with this idea. The government should take all the stakeholders into consideration for those who this policy will be implemented.”
