Sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) is an unforgiving condition that doesn’t choose its victims, whether they’re children or adults. It’s not modest either, taking the lives of around 200,000 teens and children on a yearly level, according to statistics.
However, there is hope to be found, since these deaths can be prevented if you learn to recognize its early tell-tale signs long before the actual crisis happens.
Here are some of its warning signs and symptoms:

Exercise for 30 minutes – There really is no way around it, exercising is beneficial to both your mental and physical health and can significantly lower the risk of heart disease. Coupling it with a healthy balanced diet can also provide optimal results. So keep moving.
Don’t smoke – It’s no secret: smoking kills and doing it puts you at risk of developing heart disease down the line. That’s because the chemicals present in it slowly damage both your heart and blood vessels.
Maintain a healthy weight – Being obese is a sure-fire recipe for developing multiple fatal conditions, including heart disease. So consider getting into a weight loss program if you feel like your body mass index (BMI) is too much for your age, and start exercising and dieting as soon as you can.
Follow a healthy diet – As mentioned above, eating a healthy diet can make you reduce the risk of heart disease, as well as just improve the overall quality of life.
To help protect your heart, a diet filled with lots of whole grains, fruits and vegetables should do more than suffice. Avoid too much salt and sugar as well, and limit certain fats that you eat to lower your cholesterol levels.
