Breast cancer: New imaging system helps predict chemotherapy responses

In order to spread awareness on breast cancer, the event will witness many activities. While there is a great demand for donated hair for cancer patients, not many are willing to come forward to donate their hair. This event will give a chance to all those people, who voluntarily want to donate their hair.

Far too many women end up being confines to their homes after they undergo chemotherapy. As they are afraid of societal stigma they have to face after hair loss. Hair for Hope India is the first national campaign which has held several events in over 10 states in India to save hair from going into bin and being wasted. Instead it is utilised  in making donated hair to make wigs for cancer affected patients.

Hair donation was an unknown concept when it was launched in 2013,   but today it has become a huge movement as ladies go even bald defying social norms and taboos to avenge cancer for stealing their loved ones.

Many men have donated their hair too. Hundreds of wigs have already been donated. The movement has gone viral in South Indian states. Although,  awareness is still low in the North and East India.
