Following the #SaveAaradhya campaign, which received an overwhelming response on social media on April 8, many have been showing their support for the campaign as the momentum continued over the weekend and even on Monday, April 10.
Aaradhya Mule, a four-year-old Mumbai girl, who is battling dilated cardiomyopathy, an end-stage heart disease, is in dire need of a heart. With just 10% of her heart functioning, she needs to be admitted to the hospital every 15 days for two days where she is kept on medication intravenously so that she can survive for next 13 days.
Many eminent people from various fields have voiced their support for Aaradhya and joined made an appeal to the nation to help her find a heart via their social media accounts.
On Monday, Bollywood actor Ritesh Deshmukh tweeted appealing to the nation to join the campaign and spread a word about the same. Mumbai also witnessed a few local groups hitting the streets with #SaveAaradhya campaign posters too.

India lags behind in organ donation as there is poor awareness about the cause. There are many who die due to lack of finding organs on time and in paediatric cases like Aaradhya’s, it is even more difficult. Thus, the campaign aims to enlighten the people on importance of organ donation and how it can save lives.
