Data shows decline in sex ratio in PMC limits

The data released by the health department of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) shows a dip in number of the sex ratio since the last six months. The health department officials note that last year's strike by the radiologists against the Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT) resulted in fewer doctors being caught while breaking the law. The data shows that the number of girls against that of per 1000 boys is 909 in the first half of 2017, as compared to 934 last year
