In addition, the camp will also provide free polio callipers, single stick, knee caps, surgical boots, crutches and waist belts.
During a press conference held by the Lions Club, the District Chairperson Deepak Sethia said, “No money will be charged from the patients as the camp is organised for a noble cause. Rajendra Goyal, Shyam Khandelwal, Virendra Patel and Sunil Patel were also present at the press conference.
Deepak Sethia added, “Hasmukh Mehta had initiated this Jaipur Foot Camp first. This is the 51st camp which is going to be organized Pune. Till the date, this noble initiative has been benefitted more than 8,000 patients. This camp is going to be organised in Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Ahmednagar, Nashik, Kopargaon and Sangamner. Generally, we witness the participation of around 600-700 people for such camps.”
Virendra Patel said, “On 3rd and 4th January, the club has also organised a camp in Pimpri-Chinchwad’s YCM Hospital. Besides that the Mahavir Pratishtan has also organised free surgical camp on the same days for the lips, ears and nose surgeries.”
The club has made arrangements for accommodation and food of the people who will be coming from the outer area of the city. The two-day camp is totally free of cost.
