In a tweet posted by her husband and cricketer Virat Kohli, she is seen asking the man why he threw garbage and plastic on the road, and he of course had no answers. Anushka then, tells him to be more careful and not do this again.
Saw these people throwing garbage on the road & pulled them up rightfully. Travelling in a luxury car and brains gone for a toss. These people will keep our country clean? Yeah right! If you see something wrong happening like this, do the same & spread awareness. @AnushkaSharma pic.twitter.com/p8flrmcnba

The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, launched the Swacch Bharat Abhiyan (SBA) campaign in 2014 and urged the people to keep their surroundings clean. The campaign in itself aims to clean up the streets, roads and infrastructure of India’s cities, smaller towns, and rural areas. It is up to the citizens of the country to maintain the cleanliness but few of them still live in the same mode and don’t believe in the same.
On World Environment Day, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranuat had initiated a campaign to stop the usage of plastic bags which are suffocating our environment. Earlier, on International Mother Earth Day (April 22), Anushka Sharma had tweeted how our dependence on plastic is ruining nature.
It’s so disheartening and terrible to see our plastic addiction destroy wildlife and mother nature. This #EarthDay it’s time to wake up, start acting and put an end to it now! #EndPlasticPollutionhttps://t.co/rD9H93YoL1

Recently, the Maharashtra government had implemented a plastic ban to reduce wastage and protect the environment. But, it is also up to us as citizens and human being to not be so callous and do our best to protect the environment by simple acts such as not littering on the roads and taking steps to reduce our carbon footprint.
