AIIMS doctors express solidarity over recent rape cases across India

The AIIMS Resident Doctors Association (RDA) have written a letter to Home Minister Rajnath Singh to convey their anguish about the  atrocious rape cases which have taken place in the country. The doctors have lent their moral support to Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief Swati Maliwal who is an indefinite hunger strike against Unnao, Kathua rape incidents on her fifth day of the strike

In order to express their grief and anger, over the recent heinous rape cases which have taken place in Kathua, Unnao and Surat the President of AIIMS, Resident Doctors Association has penned a letter to Home Minister Rajnath Singh.

The letter states that: ‘As the whole country is shocked with the recent rape incidents across India from Jammu, Unnoa, Surat and the list which seems to be increasing day by day. We, the resident doctors at AIIMS are stunned with these incidents and we extend our moral support to the indefinite hunger strike by Swati Maliwal.’

‘We also demand the government to set-up fast track courts and justice to the victims, within 6 months, as we all know that justice delayed is justice denied.’
