- It has been over a year since Dhanashree Mujmule, a 4-year-old girl was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy, an end-stage heart disease.
- Her parents efforts finally paid off, when she received a donor heart for transplant on June 23.
- Dhanashree was discharged on Saturday, June 28 from Fortis Hospital after a successful recovery.
- She was admitted in the hospital for 40 days.
Beaming with joy, her father Krishna Mujmule informed, “She has now started to walk around, she is no longer facing any problems. As she has recovered, her happiness has returned to her and it is evident with the smile reflecting that on her face. When her ailment began, she would not be able to eat properly due to it. But now, I am happy that she has regained her appetite and eats her meals. On Saturday, after conducting a few check-ups the doctors gave her a discharge.”
Mujmule further said, “Her health has improved a lot after the heart transplant. The doctors have advised us to make sure that she takes her medicines on time. Doctors have given us certain guidelines to follow and we will adhere to them. We have been asked to keep her away from dust, so we have made a glass partition at our home in Jalna, we will take all the necessary precautions to safe guard her health.”
